Digging Into Chapter 3 :

"In his blue gardens, men and girls came and went like moths among the whisperings and the champagne and the stars"
Through this passage Nick describes the gardens as blue and blue usually is associated with depth and stability. It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth, and heaven. However ironically as one continues to read into the chapter they can see that many of these people are not even close to those characteristics. The people attending Gatsby's party act out with such disrespect that it doesn't fit that blue garden look.  He describes the men and girls coming and going like moths which in my head i see them just coming in and enjoying themselves doing what ever they might want then leaving not even truly noticing Gatsby. Also the whisperings representing all the rumors that pass around in just this short part of the book all of which are about Gatsby which can make someone wonder who he truly is.  The champagne showing the use of alcohol and how open it is even though at the time it is against the law. So you see this careless idea of the people doing as they please yet again.

What keeps me going

Well to jump right into things I am a dancer. I been dancing for a couple of years now and it is the main thing that keeps me positive and striving for what I think and hope I can do. When I am dancing it is like a entire weight off my shoulders and it just gives me the feeling that things are better than they seem. I am never happier then when I am on a stage and enjoying every minute of a performance. To me everyone clearly has something they can compare to what dance is to me and if not then they should find something because to feel all that is definitely worth the work and time.
